Aerolite Travel Trailers and Cub, a brand of Aerolite, are producers of top quality light weight RV’s or campers. Both of these companies, along with a number of others, have been bought out by Thor Industries, and are now subsidiaries.

Both Aerolite and Cub are quite well known for being quality manufacturers of light weight or ultra-lite recreational vehicles. They started producing the lighter models about fifteen years ago, and with today’s fuel shortages and outrageous costs for gas, Aerolite Travel Trailers is doing quite well against the competition.

Recreational vehicles, sometimes referred to as house trailers, have come a long way since they began appearing in tow behind motorized vehicles on Americas’ roadways in the early 1920’s. The little “pull behinds” of those days seem tiny and archaic compared to today’s luxury RV’s and land yachts.

Depending on the year, make and model, these two campers range in size from about 17 feet to around 34 feet. The amenities or options also vary with model year, and of course how much you’re willing to spend has an awful lot to do with it too.
